I have been following professor Baiju Senadhipan’s popular online webinars for a while now. This is because of the appropriately selected topics and renown speakers from the surgical field he usually invites. Taking in a trainee from a different continent without any financial benefit was very kind of him. For me, getting an opportunity to learn from him was a dream come true.

Interacting with professor, I came to know him as a great teacher and mentor. I travelled from Kenya to come and learn laparoscopy from him, but I learnt more than that i.e., how to be a surgeon, who is ethical and focuses on principles of surgery and quality of care.
I thought that laparoscopy was difficult and might take me a long time to learn. But with his standardized surgical steps which he has practiced and perfected in the last 25 years, he made
laparoscopy straight Forward and easier to learn.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a talented and skilled laparoscopic surgeon. Professor B. Senadhipan has a wealth of knowledge and experience in this complex and delicate surgical technique, and he has been an invaluable resource.
From the moment I started working with him, I knew that I was in the presence of a true master of his craft. He has a precise and methodical approach to laparoscopic surgery, and his attention
to detail is unparalleled. He is also an exceptional teacher, and he has been patient and generous with his time as he has taught me the finer points of laparoscopic technique.
In the department, the case load ranges from lap hernia surgeries, lap colorectal surgeries to more complex Laparoscopic pancreatic surgeries e.g., lap whipples procedure, lap freys procedure, lap central pancreatectomy and lap spleen preserving distal pancreatectomy.
The training is well-structured. I first learnt by assisting then followed by partial hands-on then full hands-on in the 2nd half of the training. I also learnt upper and lower GI endoscopy.
But beyond his professional expertise, Professor B. Senadhipan is also a compassionate and caring individual. He always puts the well-being of his patients first, and he has a true passion
for improving the lives of others through the art of laparoscopic surgery.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been trained by such a great laparoscopic surgeon and mentor, and I am deeply grateful for all that he has taught me. I would highly recommend him to anyone
looking for a place to learn Endoscopy and Laparoscopy.
