Dr Senadhipan was awarded the first Panakkattodi Amma Award, instituted by the committee of the famous Panakkattodi Amma Temple of Chavara Thekkumbahghom in Kerala, the native village of Dr Senadhipan.
An unprecedented gathering of about 25,000 well wishers from the village was an overwhelming experience for Dr Baiju, filled with affection and goodwill for all fellow native Chavarites.
The prestigious award was handed over by the ex-minister and sitting Member of Parliament Mr M.K. Premachandran. Dr Senadhipan was then felicitated by the sitting MLA Mr Vijayan Pillai, popular cine artist Ms Lekshmy Gopalaswamy and Panchayat President Mr Anil Kumar.
The award function was followed by Mohiniyaattam performance by Ms Lekshmy Gopalaswamy.
Dr Senadhipan terms this as his most memorable and grateful event of his life to earn goodwill of the entire village which thought he is worthy of this honour. He has respectfully show cased this plaque carved intricately in wood and gold at his home.
