Dr Senadhipan was an invited faculty at the recently held IAGES Fellowship Course in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery (FALS CRS) 2017, at Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr Senadhipan delivered a talk on Lap transverse colectomy- technical tips.
It is a surgery done if a tumour is present in the transverse colon.
Laparoscopic or Keyhole approach for doing this surgery helps with minimum blood loss, minimal pain during post-operative recovery period, less chances of surgical site infection, shorter hospital stay and quicker return to normal activities compared to conventional or open surgery.
