Dr Senadhipan was invited as faculty at the 8th International Endoscopic Ultrasound Conference and Workshop at New Delhi this week.
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a minimally invasive procedure.
It avoids exploratory surgery to assess digestive diseases.
It uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the lining and walls of your digestive organs such as the pancreas, liver and lymph nodes.
EUS allows your doctor to draw sample fluid and tissue from your abdomen for analysis without having to cut open your abdomen.
Dr Senadhipan is one of the very few surgeons in India with high skills in using EUS and thus he avoids many needless surgeries.
His shared his experience on the Role of EUS in Pancreatic Cancer through his presentation at the conference which was very well received by the esteemed audience.
